RYA Courses in the Mediterranean

Why come to Mallorca for your boating courses?

There are a number of very good reasons why the Balearic Islands in general and Mallorca, the largest of the Balearics, in particular, is considered to be amongst the top boating locations worldwide.

Mallorca is home to a vast number of foreign owned sailing yachts, motor yachts and smaller powerboats. Their owners prefer to keep their boats in this lovely environment because they know that when they want to go sailing the weather is more likely to be clement than in the more northern climes where they live. There is less weather disruption and sailing days lost here than in the more turbulent weather systems affecting for example the English Channel.

Add to this the fact that we're in a non-tidal area so the prospect of having to set your alarm to 'catch the 0300 tide' doesn't exist here. Happy days indeed !

We set sail when we want to, not when the tide allows. There's an excellent selection of day sails to nearby ports and anchorages as well as the possibility for inter-island passages. Cabrera, Ibiza, Formentera and Menorca are all within reach.

Lunch stops usually include a dip in the warm clear Mediterranean waters.

You can combine your sailing holiday with a family holiday. Mallorca is noted for its resorts but also for golf, cycling, walking, scuba, canyoning and other adventure sports.
